As a lifestyle expert with a deep appreciation for the art of comedy and the resilience of those who create it, I cannot help but be moved by the heart-wrenching tale of Shikha Srivastava, the wife of the late, great Raju Srivastava. Two years have passed since we lost this comedic genius to complications from a cardiac arrest, and his absence continues to be deeply felt within the world of entertainment.
Two years have passed since beloved comedian Raju Srivastava departed for the hereafter. Tragically, Srivastava passed away at 58 years old on September 21st, 2022, due to complications following a heart attack he suffered in August. After collapsing on a treadmill and being hospitalized, he spent more than a month in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). On this day, marking his second anniversary since passing away, Raju Srivastava’s wife Shikha shared her feelings of being off-course in life.
In the course of a conversation with Instant Bollywood, Shikha Srivastava was inquired about how she recalls her late comedian-actor husband, Raju Srivastava, on the anniversary of his passing.
Currently, Raju’s wife Shikha expressed that their lives are in disarray. She confessed she can’t figure out what is happening, as they used to wait for him to return from his shows.
Shikha mentioned, “Now I find myself thinking that Raju must be away performing somewhere, perhaps for quite some time. At times, it crosses my mind that he might have traveled overseas. Such thoughts are how I try to cope with the feeling.
Sunil Pal, a well-known comedian and actor, mentioned that Raju Shrivastava, the late comedian, and his spouse considered him more like their own child, as they held a strong affection for him.
As per an earlier report from The Times of India, Raju Srivastava’s relative, Ashok Srivastava, disclosed that the beloved comedian experienced a severe heart attack. While exercising on a treadmill, Srivastava unexpectedly collapsed and was rushed to the hospital immediately.
In his professional life, Raju Srivastava was well-known for portraying the character of Gajodhar in his live performances. He additionally acted in films such as Baazigar, Bombay to Goa, Aamdani Atthanni Kharcha Rupaiya, and Kanjoos Makkhichoos. The deceased comedian also made an appearance in Hostel Daze Season 3 on Amazon Prime Video.
