On the YouTube channel “Let’s Talk With DevnaG”, Ram Kapoor expressed his thoughts about today’s generation of actors, stating, “In the past, one could become a star despite being a spoiled brat. However, that’s not the case now. Actors like Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, and Abhishek Bachchan have achieved success because they are true professionals. Alia has reached where she is due to her exceptional professionalism which will leave you in awe.
He underscored that they consistently show up well-prepared upon arrival at the filming location, always aiming to align with the director’s creative vision. Ram highlighted the fact that nowadays, the entertainment business has little patience for unprofessional conduct.
The actor also commended Akshay Kumar for his exceptional professionalism, pointing out that today’s leading stars such as Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, and Akshay continue to uphold top-tier standards. He highlighted Akshy’s dedication, referring to him as the most professional actor he has ever collaborated with. This emphasis on professionalism represents a change from the past, where some actors viewed themselves as stars without matching commitment levels.
Apart from praising Salman Khan’s commitment, Ram noted, “I’ve witnessed Salman enjoying social gatherings with drinks, but when it comes to film preparation, he’s unyielding.” He added that even after long nights of shooting, Salman would come home and still find time for his workouts. This exceptional work ethic, according to Ram, is what distinguishes these actors in the current film industry.
Ram Kapoor reminisced about a past experience from his early career, when an actor once delayed an entire team of 80 people for two days in Switzerland. He pointed out that such unacceptable behavior used to be prevalent, but stressed that today’s entertainment industry has raised its professional standards drastically, eliminating this kind of conduct.
