As a dedicated follower of the fascinating world of cinema, I must say that the upcoming Ramayana project, helmed by Nitesh Tiwari and featuring Ranbir Kapoor, is truly a sight to behold. However, what really caught my attention was the revelation of Terry Notary, the Avengers stunt coordinator, being part of this magnum-opus.
The upcoming Bollywood movie “Ramayana,” directed by Nitesh Tiwari and starring Ranbir Kapoor, is generating a lot of buzz due to its ambitious scope and impressive cast. Although no formal announcement has been made about the project, it’s been making headlines regularly. It’s now known that Terry Notary, who coordinated stunts for the Avengers series, has joined the production team and has been working on it for over a year.
As an ardent admirer, I couldn’t help but share the thrilling account of Terry Notary, a renowned stunt coordinator and motion-capture performer, as disclosed in a video posted by Instagram user Kishor Khabiya Jain. Intrigued by my questions about his Indian sojourn, he unveiled that he’s engaged in Ramayana as an action director. Delighted to share, this is his inaugural visit to India and he has been dedicatedly working on the project for approximately one and a half years. When probing further about his Indian work experience, Terry exclaimed, “It’s insane, it’s fantastic!” Upon inquiry regarding his use of the term “insane,” Terry elaborated, “There’s never an end to the action, it’s always on-the-go.”
Kishor uploaded a video on Instagram, featuring Terry Notary – an esteemed American actor, stunt coordinator, double, and movement coach. Terry is currently in India for our upcoming production of The Indian Classic Ramayana. Kishor expressed his excitement about the project, saying “Sunday morning with Terry Notary…can’t wait to see the final product, brother.” Below, you can watch the video he shared.
It’s worth noting that Terry Notary has contributed significantly to various blockbuster movies, such as Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Additionally, he has left his mark on other beloved films like Avatar, The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn, and the rebooted Planet of the Apes series.
Regarding the anticipated Ramayana project, it’s slated for release in two installments, with the first one scheduled for 2026. The esteemed director Nitesh Tiwari is at the helm of this grand production. In the role of Lord Rama, we have Ranbir Kapoor, while Goddess Sita will be portrayed by Sai Pallavi. Sunny Deol adds his talent to the cast as Lord Hanuman, and Yash takes on the character of Ravan. Latest news suggests that Kunal Kapoor has also joined the star-studded cast, playing Indra Dev. The official announcement for Ramayana is expected in either October (Dussehra) or November 2024 (Diwali), accompanied by a significant promotional video.
