Earlier this year, there were rumors about Harman Baweja potentially joining Ranbir Kapoor’s eagerly awaited Ramayana film. But during a recent conversation, the actor clarified that he hasn’t agreed to any new acting roles and is instead focusing on his role as a producer, which hints that he might not be part of the highly discussed project.
In a sit-down chat with PTI, Harman Baweja opened up about his upcoming projects, having first appeared in the film Love Story 2050 alongside Priyanka Chopra, where he garnered noticeable recognition for his acting and producing work.
In the popular streaming service Netflix’s show “Scoop,” the performer recently made an appearance. His acting in this series received praise from both critics and viewers. Despite being away from the spotlight for a decade, his depiction of a questionable police officer drew significant interest.
Concerning this topic, Baweja shared that although he’s been commended for his acting skills, he’s now prioritizing the growth of his own production company, known as Baweja Studios.
The former actor-turned-producer mentioned, “God has been generous; there’s no denying that I’ve received offers for acting roles. However, since my last role in ‘Scoop’, I haven’t committed to anything further. As an actor, I’m currently not taking on significant projects. I played a role in ‘Scoop’ after a decade, which turned out successfully. For me, it was a modest yet impactful part.
Harman shared that he is dedicated to the creation, distribution, and enjoyment of upcoming projects. He further disclosed his upcoming plans, stating that the majority of his time will be spent on production work. In the next two to three years, he expects to act for less than 10-15 days.
In March 2024, according to ETimes, it was predicted that Harman Baweja might play the role of Vibhishan in a Ramayana film directed by Nitesh Tiwari. But, the actor’s recent statements have clarified this speculation.
For those unfamiliar, Nitesh Tiwari’s adaptation of the epic Ramayana will consist of three parts, featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi as the main characters.
