Following the actioner’s resounding success, the actor disclosed that the story would be told over three installments. Additionally, he shared some intriguing details about Brahmastra Part 2, which stars his wife, Alia Bhatt.
In a recent chat with Deadline Hollywood, Ranbir Kapoor shared insights about some upcoming ventures. Regarding “Animal Park,” he disclosed that director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is currently engaged in another project. Consequently, they are expected to kick off “Animal Park 2” by the year 2027.
Regarding Sandeep’s concept for the Animal franchise, Kapoor mentioned that the director was experimenting with his vision for the movie. The actor from Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar explained that Vanga plans to develop it across three installments, and the second part is titled “Animal Park.” Additionally, Kapoor disclosed that they have been discussing ideas stemming from the initial film since its inception.
In Animal Park, Kapoor spoke about his role, stating, “It’s thrilling because I have the opportunity to portray not one, but two characters – the villain and the hero.” When queried regarding playing dual roles in the upcoming film, the actor clarified that in the initial segment, the antagonist undergoes plastic surgery and transforms into the protagonist. This transformation marks the beginning of an intriguing narrative in part two.
In our ongoing conversation, he mentioned updates on Brahmastra Part 2. He shared insights about the project, explaining that it’s now in the scriptwriting phase. Unlike part 1, known as Shiva, part 2 is titled Dev. What he’s particularly looking forward to is the yet-to-be-revealed cast lineup for this upcoming installment.
Ranbir Kapoor not only commended the director and close friend Ayan Mukerji for the film “Brahmastra,” but also acknowledged it as one of the pioneering films in its genre, particularly for Indian cinema. Though some themes have already been explored, he believes that the movie could significantly expand in future installments. Regarding Alia Bhatt’s involvement in “Brahmastra 2”, Ranbir affirmed with certainty, “Of course.” Meanwhile, Kapoor is focusing on his upcoming project, titled “Ramayana Part 1.
