As a seasoned lifestyle expert with a keen eye for the evolving trends in Bollywood, I must say that Ranbir Kapoor has truly outdone himself with his exceptional performance in Animal. His ability to step out of his comfort zone and embrace challenging roles is nothing short of commendable.
In 2023, the action drama “Animal,” starring Ranbir Kapoor, caused quite a stir at the box office. In this film, Ranbir played the character of Ranvijay, a man who was violent and aggressive, which was unlike any roles he’d taken on before. When he first heard about his character in the Sandeep Reddy Vanga-directed movie, Ranbir admitted that he initially felt he wasn’t this kind of person.
During a conversation with Zee Business at the Red Sea International Film Festival 2024, Ranbir Kapoor was asked about what elements he considers when selecting scripts. He stated that first and foremost, the director should have an original and distinctive story to tell. After that, he trusts his intuition.
Reflecting on my recent film project, I referenced Animal as an illustration, saying, “There’s a character that seems so distant from who I am, yet one I aspire to be associated with within the story.” Reminiscing about the moment I first heard the role, I admitted, “Initially, I thought, ‘I’m not this person,’ but the allure of being involved in such an intriguing world was too compelling.
He stated that it was because the role challenged him as an actor. Ranbir also mentioned that it was something he might never have been able to do without his filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
He concluded by stating, “So as an actor it’s very important that you keep reinventing yourself, keep changing, surprising yourself.”
In addition to Ranbir Kapoor, the movie “Animal” featured actors like Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Triptii Dimri, Shakti Kapoor, Prem Chopra, Saurabh Sachdeva, and several others.
Currently, Ranbir Kapoor boasts an enticing array of upcoming projects. He’s slated to portray Lord Rama in Nitesh Tiwari’s epic retelling of the Ramayana. Additionally, he’s working on Love & War alongside his spouse Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. Notably, this project represents a long-awaited reunion for Kapoor with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
According to exclusive reports by TopMob, it’s been confirmed that Ranbir Kapoor will star in Dhoom 4, a revival of the renowned series. Additionally, he has several upcoming projects lined up, including Animal Park, a follow-up to Animal, as well as future entries in Ayan Mukerji’s Astraverse.
