Later this year, Yashvardhan Ahuja, son of veteran actor Govinda, is set to enter the film industry. After waiting patiently for nine years and honing his acting skills, he’s ready to make his debut. In a recent chat, he shared that advice from Ranbir Kapoor played a significant role in helping him find his own path in the industry.

Recently, in an intriguing chat with The Times of India, Yashvardhan, Govinda’s son, revealed priceless wisdom imparted by the legendary actor from the film Animal. He emphasized, “Ranbir Kapoor was the one who persuaded me to journey abroad and master the art of filmmaking. He stressed that it’s essential to step out of the Bollywood bubble and assist me in unearthing my personal preferences and dislikes, defining my identity, making choices, and ultimately, finding my unique voice.

The actor emphasized that Kapoor isn’t just an exceptional performer, but also possesses the creative insight of a storyteller. He disclosed his journey of spending a year at an acting school in London and his ongoing participation in acting workshops in Mumbai. “It’s a continuous learning process,” he continued, suggesting that one can never claim to have mastered the art completely.

Apart from what was mentioned earlier, Ahuja additionally discussed the guidance his father and esteemed actor Govinda imparted upon him. Specifically, he revealed that his father suggested he carve out his niche within the industry through perseverance and determination.

He mentioned that his father had always been careful about his actions on camera, and the one piece of guidance he gave him was “make sure not to use abusive language in your films.

Yashvardhan Ahuja shared that he’d never witnessed his father memorize lines, but the elder Ahuja always had impeccable timing. The budding actor commended his father’s “photographic memory,” acknowledging that no one could surpass his dancing or comedic delivery. In his opinion, he gained a lot simply by watching his father.

For those not familiar, Harshvardhan will spearhead a romantic drama, with renowned National Award-winning director Sai Rajesh at the helm. The as-yet-untitled movie is slated for release in cinemas towards the end of this year. He has previously worked as an assistant director on films such as Dishoom, Baaghi and Salman Khan’s upcoming production, Kick 2.
