On Thursday, it was announced that Range Media is establishing a composer division. To lead this new venture, they have appointed experienced agent Jeff Jernigan as their inaugural hire.
Jernigan is joining Range from Kraft-Engel Management, a highly esteemed company in the composer representation field. Prior to this, he was employed at BMG Music Publishing and the performing rights organization ASCAP. Notably, his roster of clients encompasses composers such as Steve Price (known for ‘Gravity’), Tom Howe (‘Ted Lasso’), Raffertie (‘The Substance’), Brandon Roberts (‘Andor’), Joseph Stephens (‘The Righteous Gemstones’), Disasterpeace (‘It Follows’), and Helen Park (‘KPOP’). Additionally, he manages music supervisors Amanda Krieg Thomas and Steven Gizicki.
Jernigan stated, ‘We’re living in an exceptional era for music in media, and Range offers an ideal platform for creators.’ I’m incredibly eager to construct a dynamic talent agency leveraging the unprecedented stream of data and chances offered by this company and its team.
Previously, Jernigan had collaborated with Range, notably with Fred Berger, Range’s film & production co-president. Berger was responsible for producing movies like “La La Land” and “A Complete Unknown”, where Gizicki took on the role of music supervisor. The music division of Range Media Partners oversees artists, songwriters, and producers such as Jack Harlow, Noah Cyrus, Shaboozey, Saweetie, Dylan Gossett, Sean Douglas, and Wondagurl.
