In February 2025, A$AP Rocky was appointed as Ray-Ban’s first creative director. Since then, he has developed his inaugural eyewear line, called the Blacked Out Collection, which will be available for purchase online starting April 14 at sunglasshut.com and rayban.com.

Rocky designs a fresh take on three iconic Ray-Ban styles – Mega Wayfarer, Mega Clubmaster, and Mega Balorama – for the SS 2025 season. These redesigned sunglasses feature dark lenses, gold accents, and a distinctive AWGE logo embossed on the temple tips (AWGE is Rocky’s creative agency and record label). Each pair from the A$AP Rocky x Ray-Ban Sunglasses Collection comes with exclusive packaging, along with Ray-Ban’s signature black case and cleaning cloth.
Kicking things off with arguably Ray-Ban’s favorite sunglass design, the Wayfarer, its classic and adaptable form receives a touch of boldness.
As a fan, I’m thrilled about the contemporary refresh of the iconic Clubmaster style from Rocky in the ’80s. The sleek black lenses are now contrasted by gold accents, but what really catches my eye is the amplified classic brow line and extra-wide temples for a bolder, more striking appearance.
Ultimately, the Balorama design combines a touch of retro charm with modern flair, making it a strong contender for the ideal music festival look.
