‘Reacher’ Lands Early Season 4 Pickup at Amazon

As a seasoned gamer of life, who has witnessed the rise and fall of countless streaming shows, I must say, it brings me immense joy to see Reacher continue its reign on Prime Video. Having binged through two seasons already, I can attest to the show’s gripping storylines, captivating performances, and the undeniable charm of Alan Ritchson as Jack Reacher.

Although the third season of “Reacher” doesn’t air until next year, Amazon Prime Video has already started planning for what comes after.

Amazon’s streaming service, which they own, has decided to continue Reacher for a fourth season, despite the fact that Season Three won’t air until 2025. This renewal is made even earlier than when Season Two was first shown, as Season Three was also announced ahead of Season Two’s premiere.

It’s not shocking that Prime Video intends to continue Reacher, given its success: The show inspired by Lee Child’s novels featuring Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson), a freelance trouble-shooter, has been one of their most popular offerings. In fact, season two, launched in December 2023, was the most watched premiere of that year on Prime Video. Additionally, a separate series centered around Maria Sten’s character, Frances Neagley, is planned as well.

Reacher has become a sensation that exceeds our wildest predictions among our worldwide viewers, and we’re excited to continue the series with another season,” said Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon MGM Studios. “We can’t wait for more thrilling exploits from the incredibly skilled team behind the show, which includes Nick Santora, Alan Ritchson, Lee Child, Skydance, and CBS Studios.

In the third season of Reacher, we’ll find ourselves delving into the events portrayed in Child’s seventh book, Persuader. This season promises to take us along as Reacher embarks on a covert mission to save an informant who’s been captured by a menacing adversary from his past. Interestingly, although Neagley isn’t present in the original novel, we’ll see Sten reprising her role as this character for season three. The ensemble cast also includes Anthony Michael Hall, Sonya Cassidy, Brian Tee, Johnny Berchtold, Robert Montesinos, Daniel David Stewart and Olivier Richters.

The television production companies Amazon Studios (through MGM), Skydance Television, and CBS Studios (replacing the closed Paramount Television Studios) collaborate on the series “Reacher”. Santora, Child, and Ritchson serve as executive producers, alongside Don Granger, Scott Sullivan, Mick Betancourt, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Matt Thunell from Skydance. Carolyn Harris and Kenny Madrid are responsible for overseeing the series at Skydance TV.
