The service reports that more than 50 million people globally tuned in to watch the holiday movie during its initial four days on air. Earlier, the film “Road House” had been the most-watched, garnering 50 million viewers over a two-week span, according to Amazon’s data.
Amazon failed to provide details on how they arrived at the “Red One” figure. On the other hand, both Netflix and Disney+ calculate the average watch time of a movie by dividing the total runtime by the total number of viewers.

Contrary to “Road House,” the movie titled “Red One” premiered in cinemas instead. It was screened on more than 3,000 screens across North America and approximately 3,300 screens internationally, amassing a box office total of over $175 million at present.
In one scenario, “Red One” tells the story about Johnson, who serves as the leader of security at the North Pole, partnering with an unorthodox hacker (named Evans) who has previously been on a list of misfits. The tale unfolds when Santa Claus mysteriously disappears, and Christmas is in jeopardy. With the holiday season hanging in the balance, these two unlikely allies join forces to rescue Santa and save Christmas.
