The prominent movie theater group, Regal Cineworld, has appointed Kelly Dowdy as the Chief Digital and Technology Officer and Adam Snow as the Chief Strategy Officer. These are new positions within the company. Both individuals will now report directly to CEO Eduardo Acuna.
In the ongoing progress of our company as well as the broader theater sector, I’m optimistic that Kelly and Adam will significantly contribute to achieving our strategic goals, helping us prosper and thrive. With her extensive background in digital transformation and technological advancements, Kelly is a valuable asset. Meanwhile, Adam’s expertise in strategic planning, data analysis, and execution will be essential in shaping our future direction and keeping us at the cutting edge of our field.
As a passionate cinema enthusiast, I’m excited to take on the challenge of spearheading Cineworld’s digital transformation journey. My role is to align our digital strategy with the company’s objectives, ensuring we make significant strides in enhancing our digital presence, optimizing customer experiences, and fostering innovation throughout the organization.
I will be overseeing all IT and digital operations, leading the development and management of digital products and services. This includes managing both foundational systems and customer-facing mobile applications. I can’t wait to contribute to Cineworld’s growth by making our digital footprint stronger and more impactful!
Regarding user interaction, Regal is preparing to introduce improvements on their digital platforms, such as their website and mobile application.
As a passionate enthusiast, I’ve just come from Yum! Brands where I served as the Senior Vice President of Global Digital and Technology. In this role, I spearheaded the digital overhaul for e-commerce ordering and restaurant technologies at iconic brands like Pizza Hut, KFC, and Taco Bell. Before that, I held key positions at Express Scripts/Cigna, a leading pharmacy benefit management firm, and The Boeing Company, an aerospace titan.
Snow will play a crucial role in “shaping the company’s strategic direction, outlining major goals, executing them, and guiding the organization towards its long-term objectives.” Essentially, he will oversee strategies aimed at sustainable growth, carry out market research and gather competitive insights, and work on optimizing operational performance.
Snow moves to Cineworld from hotel management services company Aimbridge Hospitality, having served as executive vice president for transformation, strategy, and analytics there. Prior to this, he held positions at IHOP’s parent company Dine Brands, Disney (where he specialized in theme parks and resorts, as well as technology), tech giant Dell, and consulting firm Bain & Co.
