Why Resident Alien‘s Linda Hamilton is done with the Terminator franchise
She announced during our Zoom conversation, ‘I’ve completed my task.’ She has undeniably wrapped up her career with two significant milestones – the initial project and then ‘Dark Fate’. However, she desires to express some joy on screen, which might surprise you. So, she intends to take a step back from playing tough characters and explore new possibilities. I hope everyone will support her in this endeavor. She may be considering retirement, she chuckled.
Working together with a skilled improviser such as Alan Tudyk, who plays Harry Vanderspeigle in Resident Alien, significantly influenced Hamilton’s decision to delve deeper into the world of comedy.
She expressed, “I’m not sure if there’s anything more rewarding than bringing joy through laughter, particularly in our current times. If I could bring laughter into your life, that would be wonderful. Let’s see what the future holds. Additionally, this could be an exciting new chapter for my career. So far, I haven’t had many opportunities to showcase my playful and carefree nature on stage or screen.
