Revival “Changes Everything” in First Look at SYFY’s New Horror Series (WATCH)

SYFY plans to transport its audience to an unexplored part of the “zombie” realm with the original series, Revival. This captivating new production is set in a quaint town where the deceased miraculously awaken, and things only become more bizarre as the story unfolds.

The show draws inspiration from a comic book series titled the same, which earned Harvey Award nominations in the 2010s. This comic, written by Tim Seeley and illustrated by Mike Norton, was published by Image Comics between 2012 and 2017, spanning over 47 issues.

Before the premiere of “Revival” on SYFY, which airs on Thursday, June 12 at 10 p.m. ET, the network has shared a fresh behind-the-scenes video that provides insights into the series’ main storyline, as detailed by its creators and actors. Moreover, this sneak peek is packed with tantalizing glimpses of what viewers can anticipate from the show’s inaugural season.

In the video, Koontz hints at the shocking return of the deceased, which creates a volatile situation in a precarious town, as he states: “Revival Day alters everything.” Scorfano mentions her interest in the series stems from the concept that it’s not your average zombie narrative.

Despite the terrifying aspects of the story, they never lost sight of its core themes and motivations. As you might expect from a zombie series, it’s about death, but our tale is essentially focused on life. “Revival” encourages you to consider individuals who are unlike us, how we perceive them, and what it means to feel detached or isolated.

The series also features Steven Ogg, known for his role in “The Walking Dead,” Phil Brooks or CM Punk from “Mayans M.C.”, Gia Sandhu who starred in “A Simple Favor”, Katharine King So of “The Recruit”, Maia Jae from “In the Dark”, Nathan Dales of “Letterkenny”, Mark Little from “Doomlands”, Glen Gould from “Tulsa King”, Lara Jean Chorostecki of “Nightmare Alley”, and Conrad Coates, a familiar face in “Fargo”.

The show titled “Revival” starts airing this coming Thursday, June 12th at 10 p.m., Eastern Time, exclusively on SYFY. A week later, episodes will become available to stream on Peacock after they have premiered on SYFY.
