Some of you devoted readers (thank you for your continued support), might recall our previous discussion about a small game titled Reviver, which we talked about towards the end of October. At that time, it was expected to launch in winter 2024, but it appears there’s been a slight delay. The anticipated title, Reviver: Butterfly, is now scheduled to debut on iOS and Android platforms starting January 17th.
Indeed, it appears that the game titled “Reviver” is making its way to iOS and Android under the names “Reviver: Butterfly” and “Reviver: Premium.” Despite their distinct titles, they seem to be the same release. In this game, you’ll assume the role of a small, natural force, subtly influencing the lives of two star-crossed lovers in an attempt to bring them together.
Although what makes something wholesome can be entirely personal, I’d argue that you won’t steer too far off course with a story like Reviver. It presents an engaging concept where the main characters aren’t physically encountered or fully revealed, yet their bond is still forged and you follow them as they grow from youth to old age, observing the evolving times and events along the way.
Butterfly effect
One issue that often arises when independent films are released on mobile platforms is that many of their unique titles are already taken by ride-sharing apps or similar services. Unfortunately, this was the case with “Reviver,” causing its release to go unnoticed at the time. However, it’s always better to discover something late than never!
According to the iOS page, it appears that Reviver offers skeptics a chance to test the prologue without charge. Additionally, it provides some captivating details and the opportunity to acquire the game before its official Steam launch as well!
