As a devoted horology enthusiast with a deep appreciation for both Revolution and Christiaan van der Klaauw, I am absolutely thrilled about the collaboration between these two exceptional brands. The announcement of the limited-edition Planetarium Prometheus timepiece has me in awe.
Collaborating with Dutch watchmaker Christiaan van der Klaauw (CVDK), Revolution has produced a restricted edition timepiece infused with the beauty of poetry and astronomy.
As someone who has always been fascinated by the mysteries of the universe and the intricacies of horology, I find the Planetarium Prometheus watch simply mesmerizing. This isn’t just any timepiece; it’s a celestial masterpiece that brings the wonders of the cosmos right to your wrist.
The top part of the watch dial is decorated with white Roman numbers. In this area, the brand’s logo replaces the 12 o’clock marker. A radial date and month display lies between the Breguet-inspired hands and the figures.
A new in-house Manufacture Movement, marking CVDK’s 50th anniversary of astronomical complications, is enclosed within the polished titanium case with a diameter of 40mm. This intriguing movement can be admired through the open caseback, displaying its skeletonized beauty with frosted star decorations.
Starting on July 23, at 7 a.m. ET, you can buy one of the 6-piece limited editions of the Planetarium Prometheus for €44,628 EUR (around $48,574 USD). This exquisite item is priced accordingly and will be up for grabs on Revolution’s online store.
