RFK Jr. Ends Campaign, Backs Trump as Wife Cheryl Hines Says “All Parties Are Truly Good People”

As a long-time political observer and someone who has seen their fair share of unexpected twists and turns, I must say that Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s decision to endorse Donald Trump for President is nothing short of astonishing. The Kennedy family dynasty has always been synonymous with the Democratic Party, and for RFK Jr. to align himself with a Republican presidential nominee is truly unprecedented.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has abandoned his underdog bid for the presidency and instead, he’s endorsed Donald Trump, the Republican candidate for president.

The political maneuver, orchestrated by a member of one of America’s most prominent Democratic families, is quite strategic. Initially hinted at by the candidate and his vice-presidential pick, Nicole Shanahan, the confirmation came on Friday in a lengthy, confrontational statement issued by Kennedy in a ballroom of a Renaissance hotel in downtown Phoenix.

Kennedy criticized the Democratic National Committee in his speech, claiming that the party employed undemocratic strategies that orchestrated a power grab against Joe Biden to replace him with Vice President Kamala Harris as the presidential nominee. This move, he argued, was based on nothing substantial – no debates, no policy discussions, no media interviews; instead, it was just a show of balloons.

Kennedy wondered aloud about how the Democratic Party selected a candidate who had never granted an interview. Despite his poll numbers peaking in the mid-20s at times, ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, and CNN together conducted only two live interviews with him during the campaign. Instead, they consistently produced negative reports about him.

Kennedy declared, “We sparked a significant, self-governing political uprising,” expressing gratitude towards the 100,000 dedicated volunteers who gathered signatures and advocated for his cause. “Your achievements shall not be squandered,” he vowed. “I’m here today to outline our future course of action. … In my innermost thoughts, I no longer sense a route to triumph … The data from our surveys consistently indicated that by remaining on the ballot in the decisive states, I would be transferring votes to the Democrats.”

As a gamer, I’m sharing some news that might interest fellow gamers: Biden has decided to withdraw his name from ballots in those crucial states, but he’s still on the ballot elsewhere. Kennedy, a well-known figure, explained his reasons for this move, pointing out three key issues – free speech, the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, and the health of our children. Interestingly enough, he’s decided to back Trump instead.

Kennedy’s wife, the renowned actress from Curb Your Enthusiasm, Cheryl Hines, shared a message on social media. In her statement, she announced that Robert Kennedy Jr.’s campaign has been temporarily halted. She expressed heartfelt gratitude to every individual who dedicated their time and effort to his campaign, highlighting their incredible achievements. According to her, they surpassed expectations by gathering an unprecedented number of signatures – over a million – making history as the candidate with the most signatures ever. Despite numerous obstacles, including lawsuits intended to prevent Bobby’s name from appearing on ballots, they managed to secure ballot access across the nation.

As a gamer, I’ve got to say, I admire Bobby’s choice to stand for unity. Over the past year and a half, I’ve crossed paths with some truly remarkable individuals, hailing from different parties – Democrats, Republicans, and Independents. My personal encounters have shown me that the majority of these party members are genuinely good people, who share a common goal: the betterment of our nation and each other. This journey has been an enlightening, transformative, and heartwarming experience for me.

After a challenging year that saw an intruder with a weapon being apprehended at their Los Angeles residence, this relocation may add more tension within the family, given Hines’ past expressions of disdain towards Trump and his administration.

Trump, who saw a substantial decrease in his lead after President Joe Biden departed the race and Harris was named the Democratic nominee, has warmly received Kennedy’s endorsement and hinted at offering Kennedy a cabinet role if he wins the November elections.

A non-mainstream political figure who promotes unproven theories and doubts the effectiveness of vaccines, Kennedy has often been viewed as a potential disruptor in elections. He might have effortlessly drawn away significant votes from Trump rather than Biden, according to a January profile in the Hollywood Reporter by Hines, aged 58. In the article, Hines stated, “In my view, Bobby is more inclined to draw votes from Trump than he is from Biden.”

Expressing loyalty to the Trump campaign, Kennedy reduces one less worry for the embattled ex-president as he strives to secure a second term in office.

Kennedy’s withdrawn candidacy concludes one of the more peculiar episodes in the annals of U.S. presidential elections. At age 70, Kennedy initially sought the Democratic nomination, later shifting his campaign strategy to run as an independent.

The campaign drew disapproval not only from the extremes of the political spectrum but also notably from Kennedy’s own relatives. Several members of his family issued statements to disassociate themselves from their kin and condemned what they described as an effort to undermine democracy by contesting Biden, who was then widely expected to be the candidate.

However, the Democratic National Committee repeatedly took expensive legal steps to prevent Kennedy from appearing on ballots, unlike the Republican National Committee. This situation, as reported by sources within the Kennedy campaign, significantly influenced Kennedy’s allegiance towards Trump. Despite his efforts, Kennedy managed to get on 19 state ballots; yet, it was not sufficient.

During its highest point, Kennedy’s presidential campaign was only receiving support in the lower percentage range. However, as Harris’ unexpected rise towards the presidency gained momentum, Kennedy’s funds, drained by numerous lawsuits, began to dwindle, and his popularity dropped to a mere 5%.

During the journey, Kennedy faced intensified media examination due to a string of peculiar disclosures that grabbed attention – each one stretching believability yet remarkably authentic. In the month of May, it came to light that doctors had found a worm had consumed a part of his brain, leading to memory loss and confusion.

A July article in Vanity Fair suggested that the picture showing Kennedy appearing to bite a deceased animal was in fact a barbecued dog. Kennedy, however, claimed it was a goat instead.

As a seasoned investigative journalist with years of experience under my belt, I have seen many curious stories unfold before me. But the tale of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the mysterious individual who left a dead bear cub in Central Park a decade ago, has to be one of the most intriguing ones I’ve come across.

The representative for Barr stated that the video was produced after the recording of her podcast. Barr, not unfamiliar with unusual and unfavorable news, appeared puzzled as Kennedy narrated the story.
