As a seasoned gamer and content enthusiast who has spent countless hours immersed in the digital world, I can’t help but be thrilled at the prospect of Rhett & Link’s new comedy series, “Wonderhole”. The duo’s unique blend of docu-comedy, sketch comedy, original music, visual FX, and celebrity cameos is a recipe that promises to deliver an entertaining and engaging viewing experience.
As a die-hard fan, I was thrilled to be part of the crowd that gathered at the Academy Museum on Wednesday evening for the premiere of YouTube sensations Rhett & Link’s latest comedy series. What an unforgettable experience it was!
As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that the dynamic duo behind Good Mythical Morning are branching out into the realm of comedy with their innovative new series, Wonderhole! This unique blend of documentary-style humor, sketch comedy, original tunes, eye-popping visual effects, and a dash of star power is set to grace their YouTube channel. Mythical Entertainment, the company they jointly own, describes it as an audacious mix of humor, creativity, and pure insanity. Excitingly, this project was independently financed by them!
The premiere event for Thursday took place with cocktails and socializing, welcoming celebrities such as actor Jason Segel on the red carpet to take photos. Once inside, guests were escorted to a theater to watch the first two episodes, scheduled for release on YouTube later this month, and listen to comments from the cast members themselves. The shows, introduced by YouTube’s chief business officer Mary Ellen Coe, sparked laughter and applause among the audience.
“Link Neal expressed to the audience, after the showing, that we dared greatly by declaring our faith in ourselves. He further noted that rather than seeking approval, we chose to invest all our resources into this endeavor.”
Neal mentioned having numerous topics he wished to discuss following the episodes, humorously proposing, “Let’s conduct a post-game analysis, team.”
Rhett McLaughlin shared with the crowd some advantages they found in knowing the series was set for YouTube release. “I’m guessing studios would have suggestions about that, correct?” he stated. “This allowed us to create exactly what we wanted for the audience we aim to appeal to.”
During their chat, the pair acknowledged their team at Mythical Entertainment, who were instrumental in creating the series. “They’re currently busy with other shows they handle at Mythical,” McLaughlin explained. “Despite not having room for a new project on their calendars, they stepped up to the challenge.”
The celebrations of the night concluded at the restaurant within the museum, known as Fanny’s. The production titled “Wonderhole” is set to debut on Rhett & Link’s YouTube channel on August 23rd, and fresh episodes will be unveiled every week thereafter.
