Netflix romantic-comedy feature Ladies First is lining up its talent.
Actors Richard E. Grant, Emily Mortimer, Charles Dance, Fiona Shaw, Tom Davis, and Weruche Opia have been added to the cast of the upcoming film directed by Thea Sharrock (The Beautiful Game). Previously announced stars for this project, which is an adaptation of director Eleonore Pourriat’s French movie Je Ne Suis Pas Un Homme Facile, include Sacha Baron Cohen and Rosamund Pike.
Katie Silberman, Natalie Krinsky, and Cinco Paul are responsible for writing the screenplay of an upcoming movie. At present, no official launch date has been disclosed.
In “Ladies First,” we follow a character known for his many romantic entanglements, but things take an unexpected turn when he finds himself in a society ruled predominantly by women. To make matters more challenging, he encounters a strong-willed female character who further complicates his life.
3dot Productions’ Liza Chasin is one of the producers, joined by Eleonore Dailly, Edouard de Lachomette, and Four By Two Films as well.
In the movie titled “I Am Not an Easy Man“, which was originally known as “Je Ne Suis Pas Un Homme Facile“, stars Vincent Elbaz and Marie-Sophie Ferdane. This film made its debut on Netflix back in 2018.
Previously, Sharrock has directed such films as “Me Before You,” “The One and Only Ivan,” “Wicked Little Letters,” and “The Beautiful Game.
Cohen is recognized for his work on films such as Borat and The Trial of the Chicago 7, and he lent his voice to the animated film Luca. On the other hand, Pike is scheduled to be in Now You See Me 3, and has recently acted in the movies Saltburn, I Care a Lot, and The Wheel of Time series.
