As a lifestyle expert who has observed the evolution of Bollywood families over the years, I must say that Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’souza are setting a commendable example for modern-day parents. Their recent Ganesh Chaturthi celebration, where they involved their children in creating eco-friendly idols, is a testament to their dedication towards instilling values of sustainability and cultural heritage in the younger generation.
Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza posted a video showing their Ganesh Chaturthi and visarjan celebrations, featuring their sons creating eco-friendly Lord Ganesha statues. In the clip shared by the actor, he is seen guiding his sons, along with his niece and nephews, as they make these earth-friendly idols from scratch. The Deshmukh family can be seen enjoying the festival festivities, and fans praised them for being wonderful parents due to their actions.
Deshmukh titled the post, “My beloved Ganapati! The Deshmukh family tradition of crafting eco-friendly Ganeshas at home and a heartfelt immersion. Each child created their own Bappa and every Bappa was unique – what treasures these Ganapatis turned out to be!

Tahira Kashyap posted in the comments, “So cute!”, and Rhea Chakraborty replied with the same sentiment, “Too sweet.” Kriti Sanon also commented, “Extremely cute!! Best method of celebration.”, while Shreya Ghoshal expressed her feelings by saying, “Simply adorable, Sweetest form of celebration.” (This version maintains the original meaning while using more natural and easily readable language.)
In response, one fan said, “I adore how everyone is so dedicated to creating charming idols of Bappa…it’s heartwarming.” Another fan wrote in Marathi, “Many thanks to the sister-in-law (Main) for preserving this culture and teaching good manners to the children even while acting. It’s wonderful to see that they are not only focused on their own fame but also nurturing their children and upholding traditions, like Dada Vahini (fvt Actor & couple). I am genuinely proud of you guys and yes, I too consider myself a Deshmukh, the best parents.
In terms of his career, Deshmukh is receiving recognition and enjoying the limelight due to his performance in Visfot, alongside actors like Fardeen Khan, Priya Bapat, and Krystle D’Souza. Additionally, he’s eagerly anticipating the rerelease of his first film, Tujhe Meri Kasam, where his wife, Genelia Deshmukh, is also a cast member. The movie, directed by Vijaya Bhaskar, will be back in cinemas on September 13.
On the 3rd of February, 2012, Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia tied the knot. Their first child, Riaan, arrived on November 2014, followed by their second child, Rahyl, in June 2016.
