Roblox: Brookhaven RP - How to Use Emotes

As a seasoned gamer with years of Roblox and Brookhaven RP under my belt, I can confidently say that the built-in animation system in Brookhaven RP is a game changer for role-playing enthusiasts like myself. The ease of access to actions such as dancing, saluting, or even performing a backflip without relying on the traditional emote library is simply fantastic.

As an enthusiastic player, I can’t help but express my affection for the captivating world of Brookhaven RP on Roblox. This game offers limitless opportunities for creativity and exploration, making it a must-play for any fan of immersive virtual experiences.

In this article, you’ll learn tips for making the most out of using animated expressions, or emotes, to bring your characters to life and reflect their unique personalities.

How to Use Emotes

When it comes to emotes, you have two choices.

You can use the default Roblox ones or the built-in Brookhaven options.

However, if you try to employ the standard emotes provided by Roblox, you might encounter a notification stating that “emotes have been deactivated in this game environment“.

This is due to the fact that Brookhaven RP doesn’t rely on typical Roblox emoticons but instead has a unique animation system specifically designed for role-playing purposes.

Instead of the usual emote library, Brookhaven features a built-in animation system.

The in-game menu provides easy access to actions like dancing, saluting, backflipping, and more.

To activate the pre-set animations, click on the character icon (located on the far right side of your screen, it’s the fourth one).

You’ll then see a range of animations available to choose from.

This choice is ideal for those who’ve not heavily invested in the standard options, or for beginners, as Brookhaven offers a multitude of free selections.

Even with the limitations, you have the freedom to utilize the standard Roblox emotes, particularly if you own some and wish to display them in Brookhaven.

Start by launching Brookhaven RP and tap the three lines in the top-left corner of the screen.

At first, emotes won’t be active. To activate them, navigate to the character customization menu located on the right side of the screen, which can be identified by a pencil icon.

Choose the avatar with a red outfit as your selection. After that, tap on the second avatar option that follows. If it asks you “Do you want to change to Roblox Avatar?” then congratulations, you’ve selected correctly.

Simply tap the ‘like’ button, and you’ll have access to use the default emotes that were temporarily deactivated before.

Another way to use emotes is through chat commands. This approach works well if you like typing.

Press the / key to open the chat. Then, type/e followed by the specific emote name to perform it.

For instance, typing /e Hello will trigger a waving animation. This generally gets around their restriction, though it’s not foolproof.

At the time of writing, the trick still works.
