Actress Sheeba from the movie recalled being asked to perform a kissing scene with Dharmendra and shared that she sought her husband’s approval before agreeing to do it.
In a recent chat with ABP Entertainment Live, Sheeba shared memories of being asked to act in the movie “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani”, starring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh.
Sheeba stated that she believes Karan may have unexpectedly spotted her and exclaimed, “Wow, this is an excellent choice,” but became apprehensive when they suggested we might be involved in a kissing scene together, since that was with Dharmendra.
The actress informed the creators of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani that she’d get back to them following a conversation about the role with her spouse, movie director Akashdeep Sabir.
Sheeba agreed to take on the role following her husband Akashdeep’s encouragement for her to portray the character in Karan Johar’s film direction. In her own words, she mentioned that he described it as a “fun little project” and assured her it wouldn’t appear unattractive or inappropriate for children to watch.
In addition, Sheeba disclosed that although no actual kiss took place, Dharmendra instead planted a playful, gentle kiss on her cheek. She described her part in the 2023 movie as an adorable cameo.
The esteemed actress additionally commended iconic actor Dharmendra, expressing him as a truly courteous individual. She further noted his delightful nature and exceptional vitality.
In the 1992 movie “Suryavanshi,” Sheeba acted alongside Salman Khan, while some of her other notable films are “Kaalia” from 1997, “Pyar Ka Rog” in 1994, and “Hum Hain Kamaal Ke” from 1993.
In the movie “Rocky and Rani’s Love Story,” Ranveer Singh portrayed Rocky Randhawa, a character from a Punjabi family. Alia Bhatt was chosen to play Rani Chatterjee, a Bengali news presenter. Dharmendra took on the role of Rocky’s grandfather in the 2023 production, while Shabana Azmi played Rani’s grandmother under Karan Johar’s direction.
