Ronnie Fieg Reveals KITH x New Balance 990v4 and 1000 Collaborations

As a seasoned sneaker enthusiast who’s been following KITH and New Balance’s partnership since its inception, I can’t help but feel a thrill of anticipation with each new collaboration they unveil! The latest additions to their roster – the 990v4 and 1000 – are no exception. With my sneaker collection reaching the triple digits, these beauties would undoubtedly find a cozy spot among my beloved pairs.

Year after year, KITH boasts numerous collaborations, spanning from the NFL to Giorgio Armani. Yet, one of its most successful partnerships is with New Balance, a relationship that started back in 2011 when they came together for an initial 574 model to celebrate the launch of KITH’s Manhattan store. This long-standing bond, now over a decade old, continues to flourish as we see new versions of the KITH x New Balance 990v4 and 1000 models being introduced.

According to Ronnie Fieg, the founder of KITH, these two collaborative sneakers have been designed to complement the “101” line, which consists of seasonal essentials in mostly single-tone color schemes. The 990v4, a design that was hinted at in September and previously worked on by KITH (with notable past projects like the reimagining of the United Arrows x KITH x New Balance 997 collaboration), is adorned with a collection of tan shades and features an off-white midsole. Conversely, the 1000 is receiving the KITH makeover for the first time and showcases a design centered around a light blue-grey tone atop its own off-white midsole.

As I type this, there isn’t a specified launch date for these collaborative works yet. But keep an eye out, as they might appear in just a few weeks from now. More details will be shared as soon as they become accessible.
