Rosamund Pike Recalls Getting Mugged and Punched in the Face for Her Phone

Rosamund Pike is recalling a terrifying incident she experienced nearly two decades ago.

Actress from the movie “Gone Girl” shared in a recent conversation with Magic Radio that she fell victim to a mugging in London back in 2006, as detailed by The Independent.

She described an incident where she was talking to her mother on her cellphone while walking down the street. Suddenly, she was robbed, and her phone was stolen, causing her to yell and drop the phone, which then went silent.”

“She told me about this time when she was chatting with mom on her cellphone, strolling along the street, and got mugged. Her phone got snatched, so all her mother heard was a scream followed by a thud before the call ended.

Pike expressed her fury after receiving a facial bruise from being hit in an altercation. Moreover, she mentioned that her mother suffered for 15 minutes before being able to contact her again following the assault.

Pike stated that she was furious due to getting punched in the face and ending up with a bruise during the incident. She also shared that her mom experienced a prolonged period of distress, lasting about 15 minutes, before being able to call her after the attack.

It’s been recently noted by The Independent that street crime involving mobile phone theft in London has significantly escalated. In fact, there was a staggering 151% jump in such incidents over the past year, according to officials.
