2025 is starting off with a bang for ROSÉ and Bruno Mars, as their new joint single “APT.” has just earned them the Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), signifying significant sales or streaming success.
According to information from the RIAA’s website, “APT.” was recognized as both Gold and Platinum on January 9. This means that the track has sold over a million copies within the United States, marking an impressive accomplishment for the duo. They managed to achieve this remarkable feat less than three months after its release in mid-October 2024.
The song ‘APT.’ was the opening track from BLACKPINK’s groundbreaking debut solo studio album titled ‘rosie.’ It climbed up the Billboard Hot 100 chart to reach the fifth position. Notably, ‘rosie’ made a powerful entrance at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, breaking records as the largest US debut and highest-charting album by any solo Korean female artist in history.
