Roseanne, Tom MacDonald Top iTunes with Trump Rap ‘Daddy’s Home’

ABC brass thought they had shut Roseanne Barr up for good.

In 2018, the network decided to cancel the “Roseanne” revival following Roseanne Barr’s offensive tweet containing racially insensitive remarks about a former Obama administration official. Barr later expressed regret for her comment and claimed she was unaware who her post was addressing.

Apology not accepted.

After taking some time to recover from setbacks in her career, she made a triumphant return under conditions she controlled. She appeared in a comeback comedy special for FOX Nation, started her own podcast, and began performing at Joe Rogan’s Comedy Mothership. Moreover, she landed a role on the “Mr. Birchum” series on DailyWire+.

Currently, she’s performing hip-hop alongside one of the most prosperous independent musicians in the industry, just a day before President-elect Donald Trump swears into office.

Again.

Tom MacDonald‘s song “Daddy’s Home” is a celebration of Donald Trump’s victory in November. The upbeat tune depicts MacDonald and Barr standing among a crowd waving Trump flags, expressing their joy.

The song quickly became the top track on iTunes.

In simpler terms, “Daddy’s Home” satirizes contemporary social issues and the current administration led by President Joe Biden, with Barr delivering humorous commentary on his own.

1. They’ve attempted to silence me and called me a racist.

2. They can’t touch me with that cheap shot (with the cheap shot).

3. They’re trying to take away my freedom of speech (woo!).

4. Listen up, because this old lady is about to give them trouble (gonna give ’em trouble).

5. I stand on facts, facts, facts, and more facts.

6. Oh my, oh my, oh my, oh my, oh my, oh my.

7. Why try to change Becky into Dan? (That’s a man!).

8. You’re getting the paper, paper, paper, paper, paper, paper, delivered (served).

9. Screw Eminem, bitch, I’m Roseanne (I’m Roseanne).

In a tribute, the late Norm Macdonald commended Barr for actively seeking and hiring black writers for “Roseanne”. By doing so, Barr paved the way for future female artists in Hollywood to assert their own creative control.

She has consistently supported the LGBTQ+ community (as shown by “Roseanne” airing an uncommon lesbian kiss), and she has utilized her revamped sitcom as a means to foster understanding between liberal and conservative groups.

Apart from discussing her battles with mental health and running for presidency under the Green Party, she has also been known to use a derogatory term towards LGBTQ+ individuals in “Daddy’s Home.” This suggests that her inclination to stir controversy remains unabated, as evidenced by the bleeped-out offensive language.

Now, music is part of her unofficial “Revenge Is Sweet” tour.

“Daddy’s Home” generated more than 1.5 million YouTube views in less than 24 hours.
