Rosie O’Donnell Calls Trump a “Bad Joke” After He Threatens to Revoke Her U.S. Citizenship

Rosie O’Donnell has responded to President Donald Trump following his comments about potentially taking away her American citizenship.

On his social media platform, Truth Social, Donald Trump posted on Saturday, expressing, “Given that Rosie O’Donnell isn’t beneficial to our exceptional nation, I am contemplating a serious action to revoke her citizenship.” He added, “She poses a danger to humanity and it would be better if she stayed in Ireland, should they wish for her. May America be blessed!”

This version maintains the original meaning while using more natural, everyday language to make it easier to read and understand.

O’Donnell, known for her criticism towards the president, swiftly took to Instagram, labeling him as an incoherent joke unable to construct a clear sentence.

As a gamer, I’ve never been a fan of the U.S. president because I see him for what he truly is – a deceitful charlatan with a history of criminal behavior, sexual misconduct, and blatant lying, all aimed at damaging our nation to serve his own interests. That’s why I chose to relocate to Ireland. He’s an old, heartless man suffering from dementia, devoid of empathy, compassion, and basic human decency. I stand firmly against everything he stands for, and millions of others feel the same way. Are you planning to deport everyone who opposes your harmful inclinations? You’re nothing more than a joke who can’t even form a coherent thought.

In a subsequent post, the actress-comedian from New York City, Rosie O’Donnell, posted an image of Trump standing next to Jeffrey Epstein, who was taken into custody on federal charges for sex trafficking and conspiring to commit sex trafficking of minors in 2019. Epstein passed away the same year. Her caption read: “You lie, you steal, you degrade – I nurture, I create, I persist, you are everything that is wrong with America – and I’m everything you hate about what’s still right with it. If you want to strip my citizenship, go ahead and try, King Joffrey with a tangerine spray tan. I am not yours to silence – I was never yours.

As a gamer, I’ve learned that just like how you can’t unlearn a skill or forget a game level once acquired, the 14th Amendment guarantees birthright citizenship in the United States, which means it can’t be stripped away by anyone, not even the President. Julia Gelatt, an associate director at the Migration Policy Institute, explained to The New York Times that while U.S. citizens may choose to give up their citizenship and naturalized citizens can lose theirs if they’ve been dishonest or misrepresented facts, those who were born in the U.S. cannot have their citizenship taken away.

Earlier in the year, O’Donnell disclosed her relocation to Ireland, as she is now going through the procedure to become a citizen. This decision was partially influenced by the present political atmosphere in the United States, with Trump’s re-entry into the White House.
