- Roterra Just Puzzles brings another entry in the franchise to mobile
- Switch, rotate and adjust a maze to navigate your character
- Pick your puzzles and your characters from a free menu
As someone who has been navigating the labyrinthine world of mobile gaming since the days when Nokia ruled supreme, I must say, Roterra Just Puzzles is a breath of fresh air in this sea of sameness. This isn’t your run-of-the-mill swipe-and-tap affair; it’s a game that requires you to think, rotate, and strategize like a seasoned chess master.
If you’re a regular visitor here (and maybe I should start using “that” as my new catchphrase?), you might have observed that we’ve delved deeply into the Roterra series throughout the years. Given that its fifth anniversary is approaching, it’s only fitting to honor this esteemed half-decade by playing Roterra Just Puzzles!
The Roterra series is undeniably mind-bending, featuring perpetually spinning blocks, a surreal ambiance, and surprisingly straightforward mechanics. Essentially, you’re tasked with reorganizing the blocks to create pathways that enable your chosen character to traverse the labyrinth.
Simplistic in appearance yet challenging in depth, Roterra Just Puzzles delivers as promised by allowing players flexibility in selecting their character and the specific puzzle they wish to conquer. Additionally, it offers solution videos for those who encounter difficulties, making each brain-teaser a manageable task for even the busiest individuals.
Twist and shout
Although the first installment of the Roterra series didn’t receive an exceptional review initially, it has certainly made significant strides in recent years. The reviews, even among our App Army, remain somewhat divided, but there is a general consensus: Roterra stands out.
From my perspective as a gamer, Roterra feels reminiscent of those budget-friendly puzzle games we used to grab off the PC shelves back in the day. That’s not to undermine it, though. You’d pick up one of these games, pop it in, and suddenly find yourself grappling with a mental maze. While they might not have been polished to perfection, as folks say, they were more than enough to keep us engaged.
That and in my humble opinion it’s nice to see a series that isn’t doing match three again.
