As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming under my belt, I must say this rumor has me intrigued. The idea of playing Fable, Gears of War, and even Halo on my PlayStation console is almost too good to be true. It’s like a dream come true for those of us who have been divided between the two gaming giants for so long.
Story Highlights
- According to a new rumor, all major Xbox games are headed to PlayStation consoles down the road.
- The Xbox IPs that are in active development for the PS5 and PS5 include Fable and Gears of War.
- If the rumor is true, Xbox execs will kill off any and all exclusivity factors for the Xbox platform as a whole.
It’s been understood that Xbox is planning to distribute some of its exclusive games like Indiana Jones and The Great Circle across various platforms. However, what’s surprising is that it seems Xbox may be aggressively pursuing this multi-platform approach, as suggested by a recent rumor from a trusted industry source, THE MAGG. Apparently, significant Xbox titles, both old and new, are being developed for the PS5 and PS5 Pro.
In an episode of the MM2K Gaming News podcast, THE MAGG speculates that a new Halo game may be in production for PlayStation platforms, potentially including the PlayStation 5, contingent upon the timeline of the shooter’s development cycle.

The insider name-drops a range of different first-party Xbox titles, some of which come across as absolutely bewildering to me. Gears of War: E-Day’s development, however, is allegedly coinciding with the development of the title’s PlayStation version. On the flip side, this possibly puts up the title for a potential day and date release on the PS5 and PS5 Pro.
Currently, Avowed is in development for both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro. Additionally, Blade, Perfect Dark, Fable, and Gears of War: E-Day are all set to release as well.
Taking a moment to ponder over this, Avowed’s delay seemed somewhat unusual given the game was already finished. However, the latest gossip certainly changes the viewpoint, offering one that I believe PlayStation enthusiasts will be eagerly anticipating as it unfolds.
The PlayStation 5 Pro Comes Out In November
The advanced version of PlayStation 5, known as the PlayStation 5 Pro, is set to hit the market at the beginning of next year. It boasts several advancements over its previous model, such as improved AI-upscaling, quicker memory, and superior rendering capabilities. At present, a variety of games optimized for the PS5 Pro have emerged, with God of War Ragnarok and Lies of P being among them. Many more titles will follow suit in the near future.
