They’ve recruited Dr. Dominic Hughes to take on the role as their chief scientific officer.

Hughes boasts extensive expertise in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, having previously co-founded and served as the chief scientist at Swell, a personalized audio news app. This innovative platform was acquired by Apple in 2014. At Apple, he took charge of developing AI and language models for Apple News. He holds a Ph.D from Oxford University and is currently serving as a visiting scholar at UC Berkley.
He begins working for AGBO at a time when the broader entertainment sector is facing challenges posed by the advent of sophisticated AI technology in generation. Already, visual effects and related fields are experiencing disruptions due to this technology, and the company anticipates that Hughes will assist them in identifying opportunities where they can either create their own, leverage third-party, or make use of publicly available AI tech.
