Russo Brothers Secretly Directed Post-Credit Scene Linking Thunderbolts* to Avengers: Doomsday!

Warning: This article contains spoilers for Thunderbolts*

The director confessed that during Marvel’s latest release, he was absent for one pivotal scene, as it wasn’t originally planned. This significant moment refers to the post-credits sequence, which has been hinted on various social media platforms to be linked with Avengers: Doomsday. It appears that the Russo brothers may have assumed directing responsibilities for this scene.

In the realm of Marvel’s epic film series, there’s been a standout contender with the release of “Thunderbolts*“, but the focus is gradually shifting towards the culmination of the Multiverse Saga. This implies that the movie concludes with a post-credits sequence serving as a pivotal link to the upcoming Avengers film. However, contrary to what was shown in cinemas this weekend, Schreier clarifies he wasn’t the director of these scenes, although he did observe on set, and they were filmed following the completion of the main movie, as shared with ComicBook.

I witnessed its filming firsthand. It could potentially have been produced recently, as a new production may be kicking off soon.

At present, the single Marvel movie being produced is titled “Avengers: Doomsday“. Although filming on this project began this week, it’s speculated that the Russos may have directed a scene for the “Thunderbolts” team, which could potentially be featured in the opening scenes of “Avengers: Doomsday“.

Thunderbolts* Is Giving the MCU the Pre-Avengers Kick It Needs

Brave New World, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is ramping up the excitement with an unexpected twist – a team-up reminiscent of the unconventional bonding seen in Guardians of the Galaxy. As suggested by the synopsis:

In ‘Thunderbolts’, Marvel Studios brings together an unusual band of antiheroes – Yelena Belova, Bucky Barnes, Red Guardian, Ghost, Taskmaster, and John Walker. Caught in a deadly trap laid by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, these disillusioned characters are compelled to undertake a perilous journey that will lead them to confront the deepest secrets of their pasts. Will this fractured team self-destruct or manage to find redemption and become something greater before time runs out?

In their Marvel Cinematic Universe roles once again, we have Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, David Harbour, Wyatt Russell, Olga Kurylenko, Hannah John-Kamen, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus. The ensemble also includes new faces in the MCU: Lewis Pullman, Geraldine Viswanathan, Chris Bauer, and Wendell Edward Pierce.

As a follower, I’ve learned that the reveal of the main cast for Avengers: Doomsday has shown that most of the Thunderbolts team, or New Avengers as an alternative, will make it through the movie’s events. This might seem like a significant spoiler ahead of its release, but often, the pleasure derived from a story comes more from the journey and the way the tale unfolds rather than the final outcome itself.
