- In a major, and rather surprising announcement, Rust is coming to mobile
- The hit open-world crafting and building game has been a cornerstone of PC gaming
- Players gather resources and craft deadly weapons to war it out
As a seasoned gamer with countless hours clocked in various survival games, I must admit that the announcement of Rust coming to mobile has sent shivers down my spine. The memories of grueling clan wars and endless shootouts on PC are still fresh in my mind, but now they’re set to invade the palm of my hand!
It seems like another massive open-world crafting and survival game, apart from Ark: Survival Evolved, is making its way onto mobile devices. In simple terms, I’m thrilled to announce that the multiplayer survival sensation, Rust, is coming to my mobile device!
For those unfamiliar, Rust is somewhat realistic in contrast to Ark. Unlike the fantasy of taming dinosaurs and riding them, it places you among dangerous wildlife and other players. Instead of futuristic tools like lasers and advanced melee weapons, you’re crafting assault rifles, rockets, and machine guns to deal with your adversaries.
Known for its prolonged clan conflicts and frequent gunfights spanning months, Rust stands as one of the most challenging yet renowned survival simulation games available on PC. It’s scarcely possible to encounter a contemporary PC gamer or streamer who hasn’t invested a significant amount of time – often 30 or more hours – into playing Rust.
Early doors
At present, I can only share that Rust for mobile is on its way, but it’s likely not going to appear before late 2025 at the earliest. For those curious about updates, there’s more information available on the official Rust Discord server. Given the popularity of intense shootouts and ongoing conflicts in Rust, it seems that these features will be welcomed on mobile platforms.
