On the occasion of Saturday Night Live’s 50th anniversary special, I, as a fan, couldn’t help but notice Ryan Reynolds subtly hinting at the ongoing legal matter involving his wife, Blake Lively, and Justin Baldoni in one of his humorous skits.
Approximately an hour into the extended three-and-a-half-hour special on Sunday, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler joined the stage for a Q&A session with the audience.
Among the numerous spectators gracing the venue, one noteworthy figure was the former host, Ryan Reynolds, found seated beside a beaming Blake Lively.
Inquired about his state, Reynolds responded cheerfully, “I’m fantastic!” However, he appeared to worry when he inquired, “What’s up? What news do you have?”
Or:
When asked how he was feeling, Reynolds answered enthusiastically, “Terrific!” But his tone suggested worry as he followed up with, “What’s going on? Have you heard something?
Then, Lively quickly focused on Reynolds, momentarily hiding her grin. Whether it was intentional for the act, remains uncertain.
Before the broadcast, Reynolds and Lively walked the red carpet together.

As a gamer, I’d rephrase that as follows:
In the gaming world, it’s like when Player A filed an extensive report against Player B, my in-game partner and director, accusing him of unwanted advances and attempting to tarnish my reputation. Player B retaliated by filing a massive $400 million lawsuit against both me and another player, alleging that I was blackmailing him and spreading false information.
In addition to the Poher-Fey segment, there were stars such as Tim Meadows, Cher, Quinta Brunson, Keith Richards, Jon Hamm (who questioned his comedic abilities), Zach Galifianakis, Bad Bunny, Jason Momoa, Peyton Manning (who teased Lorne Michaels about retiring and joked about its drawbacks), and Seth Meyers. Meyers commented that the Q&A seemed like an opportunity for other celebrities not featured in the show to have some screen time.
Replied Fey: “Not to me, what do you think, Rev. Al Sharpton and Ray Romano?”
The camera then cut to Romano and Sharpton, who said, “It feels natural to us.”
Meanwhile, during the segment, it became clear that Jon Lovitz wasn’t actually in the studio but rather at a nearby American Girl store. He was seen among various dolls. Julia Louis-Dreyfus occupied Lovitz’s spot in the audience, as she was there with her guide dog.
Steve Martin delivered the opening remarks during the special episode of Saturday Night Live. The program started with a performance by Sabrina Carpenter and Paul Simon of “Homeward Bound” as the opening number.
