Saba Pataudi, a jewelry designer, has expressed her disbelief over the knife assault on her sibling, Saif Ali Khan. She publicly acknowledged her feelings, explaining that although the event left her bewildered, she is proud of her elder brother for his courage in shielding his family from the intruder. The renowned Bollywood actor sustained several knife wounds during the attack. Subsequently, Saba Pataudi posted on Instagram, expressing her shock and wishing a swift recovery for her brother.
54-year-old Saif Ali Khan, the actor, had an urgent operation at Lilavati Hospital and is no longer in immediate peril, following an unexpected event that took place at approximately 2:30 AM in his Bandra residence. Medical professionals at the hospital have since confirmed this information.
49-year-old Saba Pataudi is the second-born among the three children of esteemed actress Sharmila Tagore and the late cricket legend Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. Her younger sister, also in the acting profession, is Soha Ali Khan.
The authorities have initiated an investigation for a case of “robbery with a deadly weapon involving potential lethal or serious injury.” As reported by a top officer, the perpetrator escaped through the building’s stairwell. Security camera recordings show the suspect on the sixth floor, and ten task forces are currently in pursuit to locate and detain him.
The person who works at home for Saif Ali Khan, who first alerted authorities, apparently got a slight wound on his hand during the dispute and subsequently submitted a police report.
In a statement, Mumbai’s Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis, confirmed that the police have disclosed all relevant information about the incident, such as the reason behind it and the background of the intruder. He added that the investigation into the matter remains active.
