Sabrina Carpenter shares that the alternate version of her upcoming album, “Man’s Best Friend,” has been given a thumbs-up from above, referring to divine approval.
On Wednesday morning, the Grammy-winning artist unveiled an additional cover for her seventh studio album. In this fresh monochrome photograph, Carpenter captivatingly holds hands with a man in formal attire, while a handful of other men can be seen in the periphery.

On Wednesday morning, the Grammy-winning artist revealed an alternate cover for her seventh studio album. In this new black and white image, Carpenter elegantly grasps the hand of a man wearing a suit, with a few other men visible in the distance.
Both sentences convey the same meaning but are slightly different in phrasing and structure to maintain variety.
Additionally, she subtly touched upon the uproar from the initial “Man’s Best Friend” cover, by adding to her social media post’s description that this fresh artwork was endorsed, in a sense, by divine approval.

Following the unveiling of her new album a few weeks back, Carpenter’s album cover has drawn criticism. The artwork depicts her kneeling in a black gown, while a figure (speculated to be her dressed in a suit) off-camera grasps her hair. This image has ignited a broad discussion online about sex-positive feminism, with some accusing the “Espresso” singer of catering to male gaze.
Right after revealing my latest album and just before causing an uproar on the internet, I spoke out against those criticizing my “sexy” tunes and live shows in an interview with Rolling Stone.
Carпетnier humorously noted, “It never fails to amuse me when people grumble, ‘She only sings about this!’ Yet, those very songs are the ones that have garnered popularity. Evidently, you’re quite fond of it – perhaps even preoccupied. It’s a recurring theme in my performance.
Having no prior awareness of the ensuing debate sparked by the “Man’s Best Friend” album cover, I found myself reflecting on the fact that it seems as though I’ve never coexisted in a period when women have been subjected to such intense examination and criticism from every angle.
We’re living in an unusual era where one might assume it’s a time for women empowerment and supporting each other. However, when presented with a photo of someone wearing a dress on a red carpet, the immediate response seems to be criticizing it harshly within the first 30 seconds of seeing it,” Carpenter remarked.
Prior to the release of the album, titled “Man’s Best Friend,” Carpenter unveiled its lead single, “Manchild.” This single quickly climbed charts and marked her second hit on the Billboard Hot 100. The album is set to be released on August 29th, which coincidentally falls nearly a year after she launched the Grammy-winning album “Short n’ Sweet,” which dropped on August 23rd of the previous year.
