In high school, Hailey is one of Starr’s acquaintances, played by Blanchard in this production.
In the film, the carpenter may not have a large part, but her character is crucial and essential for Carter’s perception of the world. During an interview with Hero, the actress confessed that she was already fond of the book before it became a movie. Additionally, she expressed interest in the character Hailey due to her authenticity. “My character exists in the story because there are people similar to her who are unaware of their privileged status,” she explained.
