As a seasoned sneakerhead with years of collecting under my belt, I can confidently say that Salehe Bembury is undeniably shaking up the footwear world! From his groundbreaking collaborations with powerhouses like Crocs and Moncler, to his versatile partnerships spanning multiple brands, Bembury continues to defy expectations.
In the realm of footwear design, Salehe Bembury consistently showcases his adaptability by collaborating with diverse brands such as Crocs and Moncler. Unlike most collaborators who often work exclusively with one or two footwear companies, Bembury is spearheading Crocs’ Pollex division, has recently been appointed as the head of PUMA Hoops, and continues to partner frequently with New Balance, having recently hinted at a new 991v2 project.
Last week, I was thrilled to see Bembury unveil new colorways for his beloved Crocs Pollex Clogs, and he even announced the release of the second Crocs Pollex Juniper – our first sneaker collaboration! Now, he’s upped the ante by revealing another design he’s crafted for the Pollex line – introducing the Crocs Pollex Cypress. The distinctive fingerprint motif graces the lime green outsole once more, with red covering the clog-inspired lower layer and the canvas collar that gives it a boot-like shape. I can hardly wait to add this new silhouette to my collection!
As I type this, neither Salehe Bembury nor Crocs has given a release date for their Crocs Pollex Cypress boot. Given that the initial teaser of the Crocs Pollex Juniper took over six months to hit stores, it seems we’ll have to be patient and wait several more months until its debut. Keep an eye out for updates, such as new color options, as we eagerly await further details about this upcoming silhouette from Bembury and Crocs.
