Salena Zito sticks out like a sore thumb among Legacy Media journalists.
Instead of being secluded in her office away from her audience, this Pennsylvania writer actively steps out to engage with the individuals she writes about. She adopts the role of an on-the-ground journalist, interacting personally with her subjects.
Her reportage reflects that back-and-forth approach. How … refreshing.
Last year in Butler, Pennsylvania, a Washington Examiner journalist was just a short distance from then-and-now President Donald Trump. Suddenly, bullets pierced the summer air. Unfortunately, Trump supporter Corey Comperatore lost his life in the chaos, while a bullet brushed past Trump’s ear.
On July 13, 2024, events transpired that inspired Zito to write a potent book titled “Butler.” This book was published exactly one year after the attempted assassination, marking its anniversary.
Now, she’s teamed with Pensé Productions to bring the book to the big screen.

According to The Times, the movie is expected to delve into Zito’s professional journey, including the significant incident that occurred on that tragic day in Butler.
Production company [Pensé Productions] requested a preliminary version of the book, expressing interest in it,” Zito shared with talk show host Sean Spicer this week. “This was a significant turning point in the story’s timeline.
The company’s “About” page suggests it’s a snug fit for the material in question.
Pensé Productions is convinced that there’s a significant market niche for movie and TV productions that go against the mainstream Hollywood narrative, offering thought-provoking storylines that convey moral messages without being overtly preachy. It’s worth noting that both Hollywood and Silicon Valley wield considerable influence in shaping our society’s values. The perspectives presented by the media and tech elite are strikingly uniform, often favoring license over liberty, replacing freedom with dependence, and disregarding religious principles.
Zito told Spicer that President Trump, to her knowledge, was unaware of the film project.
Another Trump-associated movie is on its way, but not the only one. An upcoming documentary, centered around First Lady Melania Trump, might premiere in theaters as early as Fall. This Amazon Prime Video production is being directed by Brett Ratner, best recognized for the “Rush Hour” movies series.
A different upcoming project, unveiled in May, offers a more optimistic portrayal of the leader’s vibrant life and career trajectory. This is significantly different from “The Apprentice,” the television series that aired in 2024, which persistently criticized Trump during his meteoric rise to prominence within the real estate industry in the 1980s.
