Speaking with Friday Talkies recently, I shared an amusing tale about my buddy, Salman Khan, who’s known to many as Bollywood royalty. We teamed up most recently in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, where I took on the role of a dedicated doctor alongside him.
Aasif Sheikh shared that Mukesh Chhabra, a casting director, first contacted him regarding Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. But the part necessitated a 25 to 26-day filming schedule, which he declined. Consequently, their discussion about his potential casting in the project came to an end.
After a short while, the associate director contacted Sheikh, relaying that Salman Khan, the main actor for the movie, had demanded Aasif to take on the role. Reminiscing, Sheikh said, “I assumed they would look past me and hire another actor. But then, unexpectedly, Salman himself phoned me without allowing a response. He just stated, ‘The shooting commences in four days, so provide your schedule availability; we’ll discuss further later.’
Sheikh stated that he enjoys a unique bond with the actor from Tiger 3, and he openly declared Salman as “an exceptional individual within the film industry.” He reminisced about their collaboration in approximately ten films spanning the last 25 to 30 years, mentioning that every moment spent working with him was always enjoyable.
In terms of his professional life, Salman Khan recently appeared in the film Tiger 3 alongside Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi. His upcoming project is titled Sikandar.
