As a devoted fan who has followed Salman Khan’s career since his Dabangg days, I must say that this recent turn of events is concerning, to say the least. The escalating threats and the tragic loss of Baba Siddique have cast a shadow over the joy we usually feel when hearing about our favorite Bollywood stars.
Due to the tragic death of his close friend and NCP leader, Baba Siddique, on October 12, 2024, at the hands of three attackers, actor Salman Khan’s protective security has been significantly strengthened. This is because of growing threats from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. As reported, despite these dangers, Khan intends to carry on with filming Sajid Nadiadwala’s action movie, “Sikandar,” under increased safety precautions.
Previously, there were rumors that the actor halted all filming duties to pay respects at Siddique’s funeral, causing some to wonder if the remainder of his work schedule would be disrupted.
As reported by Hindustan Times, Khan’s representative declared that the allegations were “unfounded.” Additionally, a trustworthy source close to the production verified that the actor’s security measures have been fortified, both on and off the film set.
The report pointed out that although Salman Khan has consistently had a security detail with him, an extra 8 to 10 individuals have recently been assigned, and they often perform pre-arrival surveillance.
In my recent updates, I’ve noticed some slight tweaks in the schedule, but nothing major to write home about. Should future plans arise, I expect only minor alterations as well.
Initially, we thought the shooting would finish by either November or December; however, it seems it’ll definitely end no later than January. It’s important to note that the highest priority right now is ensuring everyone’s safety.
In the meantime, it appears that India Today’s report shows an increase in Khan’s security detail with around 8-10 armed police officers. Additionally, the Mumbai Police have set up a special command post at his residence, Galaxy Apartments.
As an overly enthusiastic admirer, I can’t help but share that this eight-story marvel is now under round-the-clock protection by the law enforcement. Moreover, it seems like advanced AI cameras have been strategically placed at every entrance, keeping a keen eye out for anyone who happens to frequent the area more than three times.
For increased safety, barriers have been set up outside the structure to prevent unapproved entries, meetings, or picture-taking sessions. Furthermore, the security at Khan’s farmhouse in Panvel has been fortified.
Additionally, Sikandar features Rashmika Mandanna, Sathyaraj, Prateik Babbar, Sharman Joshi, and Kajal Aggarwal in significant roles. It is scheduled to premiere in theaters for Eid 2025.
