Samsung is revolutionizing contemporary kitchens by introducing AI-enhanced smart refrigerators. This innovative fusion merges Samsung’s Vision AI technology with Instacart’s compatible product database, offering a hassle-free way to manage groceries.
The brand-new Samsung Bespoke smart refrigerators, like the Family Hub Plus (32 inches) and the AI Home display models (9 inches), come equipped with sophisticated AI cameras. These cameras are strategically placed above the fridge door and within the interior, monitoring the insertion and withdrawal of items to keep a digital record of what’s inside. The system can identify up to 37 common items such as fruits and vegetables, but users have the option to customize this inventory using the Samsung Food app.
Using the current inventory information in real-time, the AI system detects when supplies are dwindling and proposes restocking options through Instacart’s product matching API. This allows users to effortlessly add items directly to their Instacart cart via the fridge’s touchscreen interface, making it easy and swift to place orders. This advancement not only streamlines time management but also guarantees that essential groceries are always readily available, thereby simplifying the routine tasks associated with kitchen administration.
Later this year, the Instacart integration will be released for Samsung refrigerators featuring AI Vision Inside through a software update. This functionality will be accessible on the most recent 2025 Bespoke models and certain appliances within the Family Hub series.
