In the series, Ananya Panday plays a character from South Delhi who shifts to Mumbai following financial misfortune with her husband. Facing hardships in a small city apartment with a damaged roof and primarily using auto-rickshaws for transportation, she encounters numerous obstacles. However, her luck starts turning around when she secures a job at a newsroom managed by Vir Das, who initially overlooks her due to his strict and no-nonsense demeanor. The show follows her story as she navigates through adversity, highlighting her strength and ability to adapt.
Titled “Call Me Bae,” this series, brought to you by Dharmatic Entertainment, boasts executive producers Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra. With a team of talented writers – Ishita Moitra, Samina Motlekar, and Rohit Nair – penning the script, and Collin D’Cunha helming direction, the 8-episode series is all set to launch.
