Sarah Michelle Gellar disclosed that she recognized a few well-known names from the casting list for the Buffy the Vampire Slayer remake.
The actress who starred as Buffy Summers in the original series that aired from 1997 to 2003 (spanning seven seasons) has shared some insights with Us Weekly together with her former co-star, Alyson Hannigan who played Willow Rosenberg. In their conversation, Hannigan admitted, “I know someone who tried out for a role on the show.
Moreover, Gellar had connections within the industry. She casually mentioned, “I’ve met someone who appeared on that show, their child even auditioned for it. I know a handful of people associated with the production whose kids tried out.
“It better not have been one of my kids,” Rosenberg quipped in response.

Though the Wolf Pack star didn’t spill the beans on who auditioned, it’s official that Ryan Kiera Armstrong, from Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, has landed a major role in Hulu’s pilot for the reboot. Amidst her battles against evil, she relies on the support of her friends.
A premiere date for the reboot has yet to be revealed.
