Sarah Paulson Wants to Star in a Comedy, Maybe ‘Legally Blonde?’

As a long-time admirer of Sarah Paulson‘s versatile acting skills, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement at her desire to explore comedy. Her unique blend of gentleness, charm, and humor is often overshadowed by her dramatic roles in series like American Horror Story, making it all the more intriguing to see her in a lighter setting.

Sarah Paulson is ready to showcase her comedic skills on the big screen.

The actress from American Horror Story was recently questioned in BuzzFeed’s “The Puppy Interview” about what movie genre she’d like to act in next.

She expressed, “I wish to be cast in a comedy, but no one seems to get it. They only seem to want me to shriek and flee from a clown. What they don’t grasp is that I’m more of a soft-spoken, amiable, humorous individual.

Paulson has a clear preference for who she’d like as her co-star in a potential comedy: “I’m thinking Cate Blanchett… I’ve got an idea for a horror collaboration with her. But I also fancy a road trip comedy together. It seems no one’s asked Cate Blanchett to do comedy, and neither have they me. She’s hilarious, so I’d love to make that happen. As for Sandra Bullock, I’d welcome the chance to work with her again. Perhaps something more serious this time?

Regarding comedy, the actor from “Hold Your Breath” is contemplating another movie series as well. Later, Paulson was questioned about which of Holland Taylor’s past roles she would relish playing, and without hesitation, she expressed a desire to portray Taylor’s Professor Stromwell character in the 2001 film “Legally Blonde,” starring Reese Witherspoon.

She expressed her desire to star in ‘Legally Blonde,’ specifically as the teacher character. She finds this role and the character iconic.

It’s possible that Paulson’s dreams could become reality, such as starring in “The Bear”, since there are various projects under development within the “Legally Blonde” franchise. Mindy Kaling and Dan Goor are penning a script for “Legally Blonde 3”, where Witherspoon would return to her role as Elle Woods. Additionally, Witherspoon is producing a prequel series called “Elle” for Amazon Prime Video.
