Heginz Janvier’s Science Project, characterized by militant minimalism, was showcased in our TopMob Community Center series earlier this year. Now, they have unveiled their newest seasonal offering, which goes by the name “Identity”. This up-and-coming menswear label aims to reinforce its core values and style with this latest collection.
During our chat with Janvier several months ago about the foundations of his fashion brand, he described “militant minimalism” as a strictly adhered-to form of minimalism, emphasizing an intense concentration on core principles or values.
As I unbox the latest release from Science Project, I can’t help but be captivated by its striking monochrome vibe. It’s all about the puffer jackets, structured jackets, sleek leather sets, and sharp pinstriped suits, mainly draped in shades of black and white. Yet, there’s a hint of playfulness with the subtle patterns that pop up here and there. One puffer jacket features a camouflage-inspired pattern, while another sweatsuit set boasts all-over Science Project insignias. I can feel the aesthetic bleeding into my gaming setup!
In a more straightforward style, the brand Janvier consistently strives to push the limits of minimalist style in fashion. This emphasis on simplicity aligns strongly with my own identity, as I am straightforward, direct, yet extremely efficient.
