Scooter Braun Calls ‘Swag’ the “Most Authentically Justin Bieber Album to Date”

On the very day of Justin Bieber’s album Swag hitting the market, Scooter Braun, a previous manager of the singer, openly expressed his opinions about it.

In January, Braun, who was previously followed by Bieber on social media but was unfollowed along with several other former friends and acquaintances, shared his opinion about the term “Swag ” by posting on his Instagram Story over the weekend. He wrote: “I’ve been enjoying a wonderful start to my weekend, and I’ve been receiving many messages asking about how I feel regarding Justin’s new album… So, I thought I’d share this: This is undeniably the most authentic Justin Bieber album yet. It’s beautiful, raw, and genuinely him. And that’s what truly matters.

He went on to say, “For nearly two decades, I’ve been fortunate enough to observe his development. At some point during every journey, an artist finds their true stride – and that’s exactly what he has accomplished with this project. He’s invested his heart and soul into it, and you can sense that emotional depth in each performance.

Braun additionally pointed out that “daises” is his preferred song from the album, and he believes Bieber’s voice to be the finest globally.

On a Friday, Bieber unveiled his seventh studio album titled “Swag“, which is his first release in four years since the 2021 album “Justice“. This 21-track project explores a variety of topics and genres, ranging from his personal life with wife Haley Bieber, dealing with the paparazzi, mental health concerns, and even a song called “Standing on Business”. The music combines pop, R&B, soul, hip-hop, and gospel tunes. Additionally, the album’s promotion didn’t shy away from Bieber’s latest meme-worthy antics, as one billboard on Sunset Boulevard read “It’s Not Clocking to You”, referencing his viral standoff with photographers outside Malibu’s Soho House last month.

Generally appreciated, the album titled “Swag” has earned accolades from listeners who describe it as “mature” and “genuine.” Notably, one dedicated fan page referred to it as his “manifesto of freedom.

In 2008, Justin Bieber was discovered by Scooter Braun on YouTube at the age of 13, leading him to pop fame. After a span of 15 years working together, their professional relationship started to strain following the financial difficulties experienced during Bieber’s Justice world tour in 2022. Recently, it was revealed that Scooter Braun is stepping down as CEO of HYBE America and transitioning into an advisory role within HYBE, a South Korean entertainment company, where he will serve on the Board of Directors and act as a senior adviser to chairman Bang Si-Hyuk.
