In the months leading up to P. Diddy’s trial in May, his legal team has been keeping occupied as they counter what they deem as biased and one-sided documentaries that have been scheduled for release in 2025. They are also actively defending their client against the charges he faces, including a recent indictment for prostitution. Diddy’s lawyers have dismissed the new accusations as baseless and argued that the authorities are mistakenly labeling his girlfriends as “prostitutes.
New Indictment Alleges Diddy ‘Manipulated’ Women To Engage In Prostitution
In September, P. Diddy faced charges that included prostitution, racketeering, and sex trafficking. His legal team has consistently maintained his innocence, eagerly awaiting their chance to present evidence in court. They’ve previously addressed certain allegations brought forth in the lawsuits, including a fresh indictment, as stated by E! News.
In simpler terms, Combs persuaded or pressured females, which included some sex workers, to engage in prearranged sexual acts with him. On certain occasions, he coordinated for these women to travel to his location, often through arrangements made by himself or others under his command. To secure their cooperation, he employed various methods such as providing and supplying drugs, managing their careers, using his financial influence (by offering support and threatening to withdraw it), and resorting to intimidation and physical violence.
Records show that Diddy is alleged to have intentionally moved people from 2009 to 2024 for the purpose of them engaging in prostitution. It’s also claimed that he deliberately transported several victims, including Victim-1, Victim-2, and Victim-3, as well as other sex workers, across state and international borders on various occasions within the commercial sex trade.
According to the charges, Sean Combs is accused of repeatedly using abusive tactics towards the women involved. This abuse encompassed verbal insults, emotional distress, physical harm, and sexual misconduct, as stated in the indictment.
Attorney Says The Women Were Diddy’s ‘Girlfriends,’ Not ‘Prostitutes’
In response to the recently filed indictment against Sean Combs, his attorney, Marc Agnifilo, stated that it did not include any fresh charges or crimes.
The prosecution’s argument still seems questionable. The defense, however, presents an unlikely scenario, suggesting that two of Mr. Combs’ past partners were not romantic partners, but rather, they were working as companions for hire.
Mark Agnifilo restated that the defense team remains dedicated to proving Diddy’s innocence during the upcoming trial scheduled for May 5, 2025.
On previous occasions, the record executive’s legal team has tried to change the story presented by the prosecution. Since a significant part of the case against Diddy revolves around the parties known as “freak offs”, the defense claims that it is unfair and sexist to presume that those events were non-consensual. They argue that the prosecution of Sean Combs reinforces stereotypes about female victims and their lack of autonomy, according to his legal team.
