As a seasoned observer of the ever-evolving landscape of entertainment and social media, I must say that attending this year’s Creators A-List party was nothing short of awe-inspiring. The energy was electric, the atmosphere buzzing with creativity and innovation.
On Thursday evening, The Hollywood Reporter honored the foremost personalities of social media at their Creators A-List event, toasting the online sensations who are dominating the entertainment sector.
The iHeartRadio-hosted event, sponsored by Coca-Cola, Meta, and Gersh, was connected to the first edition of THR’s Creators A-List issue, which is being released this week. This special issue highlights a list of the 50 most impactful influencers, with Jake Paul gracing the cover. Multitalented star Huddy provided entertainment at the gathering and conducted red carpet interviews for THR. The event was attended by notable creators like Josh Richards, Delaney Rowe, Drew Afualo, Heidi Wong, and Hot Ones host Sean Evans.
At the trendy West Hollywood spot, Delilah, the evening commenced with Brian Austin Green and Sharna Burgess, Scout Willis, Anna Sitar and Josh Brubaker, Yasmine Sahid, Julian Burzynski, along with reality TV personalities Blake Horstmann and Giannina Gibelli being some of the first attendees.
On the carpet, Rowe shared guidance with individuals aspiring to become influencers, advising Huddy, “Postpone checking the numbers for a while, instead focus on being consistently active without relying too heavily on your innate talent. Rather, depend more on your endurance. It’s hard to predict what will strike a chord; you can’t foresee an idea’s success. Just keep going, keep going.” The speaker further suggested, “Take a seat and really brainstorm, pushing your thoughts like squeezing a grapefruit until an idea pops out. Allocate time for it.
Gibelli, who found success following her appearance on the first season of Love is Blind, discussed how social media transformed her life. She stated, “I no longer work behind a desk; instead, I have the freedom to creatively express myself, motivate others, and maintain daily authenticity – an action that can be intimidating given the unforgiving nature of social media. However, it fosters resilience and personal growth. Having such a supportive community aligns with me is extraordinary, and I am incredibly thankful for this blessing.
At the gathering, DJ Devin Lucien played music, while guests enjoyed tray-served snacks, sweets, and three signature cocktails: “Click Beit,” “The Thirst Trap,” and “Blue Check.” Copies of the current THR magazine were scattered around for partygoers to browse, and many paused by Coca-Cola’s Snapchat AR vending machine. This dual-purpose attraction served both as a photo opportunity and a soda dispenser.
Video footage was captured all around the dimly lit area, as producers pulled out their lighting equipment to record videos with companions and joined in on the dancing.
Towards the end of the party, THR President Joe Shields along with co-editors-in-chief Nekesa Mumbi Moody and Maer Roshan organized a toast and invited Huddy to perform on stage. The popular star, known for his massive following of 30.7 million TikTok fans and 9.6 million Instagram followers, shouted into the microphone, “Los Angeles, please move as close to me as you can right now!” before performing a set of three songs.
In a recent performance, Huddy debuted his second track titled “Addicted To You,” which he had just released moments earlier, announcing to the audience, “This one just came out five minutes ago.” He then delivered a live version of the song, boasting that it would leave everyone amazed. Throughout the show, Huddy engaged the crowd, discarding his jacket and even climbing onto the stage’s platforms before signing off for the night.
Asia Jackson, Charly Jordan, Jade Sherman, Marco Zamora, David Dobrik, Carter Gregory, and Juju Green, also known as Straw Hat Goofy, were some of the creators who attended, along with journalist Taylor Lorenz and UTA representatives Ali Berman and Raina Penchansky.
