Sean Kingston and His Mother Found Guilty of Wire Fraud Scheme, Sentencing Scheduled for July

On Friday, rap artist Sean Kingston and his mom, Janice Turner, were officially declared responsible for every allegation of wire fraud that was brought against them during their court case.

Turner and Kingston (whose true name is Kisean Anderson) were accused of federal offenses related to a $1 million wire fraud case. They both stood trial for one count of conspiring to commit wire fraud and five separate counts of wire fraud, all linked to a lavish scheme that aimed to deceive high-end item sellers, including luxury vehicles, jewelry, and other goods. The purpose of this scheme was to defraud the victim sellers.

The authorities labeled Kingston and Turner as “experts in deceit and fraud,” as reported by CBS. After the jury’s decision, which was made following a three-hour deliberation, Turner was immediately detained due to her previous criminal record. At this moment, Kingston is under house arrest, waiting for sentencing. It appears that his sister is arranging a $200,000 bond for his release.

Kingston, famed for hits such as “Beautiful Girls,” “Take You There,” and his collaboration with Justin Bieber on “Eenie Meenie,” faced an arrest in California. This occurred following a raid by a SWAT team at his home in Southwest Ranches, Florida. Simultaneously, his mother was also taken into custody. Earlier that day on Instagram Stories, Kingston posted: “People seem to thrive on negative energy! I am fine, and my mother is too… My legal team are currently dealing with the situation.

At the court hearing, it was revealed that an important piece of evidence was a text message from Kingston to his mother saying, “I asked you to create a false receipt,” which he followed up with, “So it seems the transaction should be processed within a few days.

The sentencing for Kingston and Turner has been set for the 11th of July. Both of them could potentially spend 20 years behind bars.
