Sean Wotherspoon Shares Closer Look at "Nashy Blue" Porsche 911 Dakar

As a long-time enthusiast of both sneakers and cars, I can confidently say that Sean Wotherspoon’s latest Porsche project is nothing short of extraordinary. The collaboration with Ferdinand “Ferry” Ahorner, a member of the Porsche founding family, adds an extra layer of exclusivity to this already unique 911 Dakar.

Sean Wotherspoon has revealed his most recent Porsche undertaking – a distinctive Porsche 911 Dakar, developed in close partnership with Ferdinand “Ferry” Ahorner, a relative from the Porsche founding family. Of particular interest is that the vehicle sports Nashy Blue, one of Wotherspoon’s two main PTS colors, which he unveiled towards the end of May.

The color stems from a previous collaboration with Porsche, in which Wotherspoon created four unique colorways, named after himself, his wife and his children. Now, two of these colors: “Sean Peach” (22I) and “Nashy Blue” (5NY) are available as official PTS colors for client use. While we’ve yet to see a Sean Peach roll out of the factory, the Nashy Bue couldn’t have found a better first model than the 911 Dakar to make it’s official debut.

In his chat with TopMob, Wotherspoon shared that the project was an enjoyable experience as they collaborated with Porsche Exclusive Manufacturer in Weissach. What made it even cooler was that Ferry had unique chances to modify aspects of the vehicle that Porsche usually wouldn’t allow, such as distinctive color brake pads and other customizations. The entire process, going over each detail side by side, was incredibly exciting. For Wotherspoon, this is a significant milestone since it marks the first road-going Porsche in Nashy Blue. It’s like hitting the trifecta – it’s a Dakar model, owned by Ferdinand, and now it’s Nashy Blue.

In a similar vein, Ahorner told TopMob that the partnership originated when they met Wotherspoon at the FAT Ice Race towards the end of January. Being a long-time sneaker enthusiast and collector of Wotherspoon’s since his teenage years, Ahorner expressed that it now seems like a wonderfully surreal moment coming back around.

At the function, they showcased Sean’s Taycan with each of his personal colors, while I was customizing my father’s Dakar at that moment. Recognizing the connection, I contacted Sean, and to my delight, he was eager to assist me with the specifications! Sean is one of the most sincere, considerate, and approachable individuals I’ve ever encountered. The cherry on top? We’ve gone on to work together on other endeavors, and he’s taken on a mentoring role for me – something I never would have envisioned in my wildest dreams. This is what he expressed.

He pointed out some distinctive features of the Dakar, mentioning custom elements such as chrome window trims and intricate details painted in Nashy Blue. The interior also boasts a Crayon finish and Sally Pepita, a rare color exclusive to the limited edition Sally Special.

Preparing for its journey, the sleek Nashy Blue Porsche 911 Dakar, is set to embark. In the near future, both Wotherspoon and his son, Nash, plan to travel to Austria, marking the event with a celebration.
